Call for Foundation Trustees

The Cashmere High School Foundation invites expressions of interest from members of our community who are motivated to strengthen the future of the school, to join the Foundation board as a Trustee.

The Foundation is a registered charitable trust with a clear vision; to strengthen and enrich the educational experience at Cashmere High School for current and future generations. We do this by cultivating philanthropic support for projects and initiatives that enhance student learning opportunities, school facilities and resources beyond those provided by government funding. We also support the investment in teacher development and wellbeing, facilitate the Alumni Programme and nurture a connected and engaged school community.

Trustees are central to the Foundation’s impact. Working collaboratively, the Board provides strategic oversight, strong governance and advocacy to ensure the Foundation’s long-term sustainability and effectiveness.

We are seeking to appoint three new Trustees and welcome expressions of interest from candidates with an existing connection to Cashmere High School, including alumni and current parents. A range of skills and backgrounds is keenly valued, with particular interest in those who bring financial expertise. Previous governance experience is beneficial but not essential; what matters most is an alignment with the values of Cashmere High School and a genuine interest in education and community philanthropy.

Trustees are expected to attend approximately five to six meetings per year, respond to correspondence as required between meetings and be available to represent and support the Foundation and key school and community events.
