How to Enrol

For students born in New Zealand:

• Copy of New Zealand passport OR copy of NZ Birth Certificate

For students born outside New Zealand:

• Copy of NZ Citizenship Certificate OR copy of Australian Passport 

OR

• First page of their passport and Residency Permit or student visa AND parents passports and residency or work/student visas.

• Most recent school report (All Pages) and uploaded as a single document (English translation required if in another language).

• Any Parenting Agreement, access, or custody order (if applicable)

• Specialist medical or educational psychology reports (if applicable)

Provide TWO documents showing the parent/legal guardian’s name and the property address:

1. Most recent electricity account (all pages).

2. Most recent account/statement from one of the following:

   • Broadband/Fibre

   • Contents insurance

   • Other utility Note: If the same provider covers both electricity and another utility, provide an additional recent bill (e.g., car or contents insurance).

If you have moved to the in-zone enrolment address in the past 12 months, provide:

• For property owners: Sale confirmation or rental agreement including receipt Bond Lodgement for new tenant, plus final electricity bill for the previous address.

• For renters: Final electricity bill.

• Cashmere High School Statutory Declaration, signed by a Justice of the Peace or Solicitor (once the student is residing at the in-zone address).

It is your responsibility to make sure your declaration and questionnaire is correct and meets all the necessary legal requirements. It’s a crime to make a false declaration. The Statutory Declaration / Questionnaire must be signed by you in the presence of a Solicitor or Justice of the Peace (JP).  JPs attend scheduled sessions at various locations in Christchurch from Monday to Saturday, including some evening sessions. No appointment is needed; however, it is best to phone to confirm availability of the JPs at your selected location and time. You may also book an appointment with a JP at their home or work.
