Tēnā koutou katoa

As we conclude Term one, I wish to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful community for all your support throughout this Term. We have been able to get to the end of this Term with minimal disruption and this could not have been achieved without the collective support of our students, staff and whanau community.

Navigating our way through this Term has been challenging at times as we have tried to perfect an imperfect situation and balance the numerous competing priorities that are inherent within a school.

A big thank you to all of our staff who have, one again, have gone above and beyond, often volunteering to cover classes, to ensure that we have kept our timetable going.

Orange Traffic Light SettingYou will note that New Zealand will move to the orange traffic light setting from 11:59pm tonight. The most significant implication of this decision will be that facemasks will no longer be required at school.

However, although the change to Orange is taking place tonight, we have been asked by the Ministry of Education to maintain the expectation that staff and students continue to wear masks until the end of the Term i.e tomorrow. Upon returning to school in Term 2, masks will be optional, any student who continues wearing their facemasks will have our full support.

I wish all of our staff and students every best wish as they begin their Easter holiday tomorrow afternoon.
