Heads Of
School
The job of Cashmere High School's five Heads of School is
to care for a year group of students from the time of entry
in Year 9 until these students leave the school from Year
13 - five years later.
We are the main point of contact for parents and quickly
establish co-operative working relationships with these people
and the students at our year level. In our school each year
group works as a united and independent unit and students
are well served by staff from the areas of Student Support,
Learning Support and Career Counselling.

As Heads of School, we know our students well and it is our
task to provide liaison with the areas mentioned as well as
external agencies to ensure that the students in our care
are given the best opportunity to succeed at school. Students
come to us for a variety of reasons including matters of discipline,
uniform issues/passes, subject choice and class placement.
Each Head of School is supported by a group of year level
Form Teachers and as a group we manage and monitor the progress
of our students each year. This system has been in place at
Cashmere High School for a number of years and the continuity
provided is viewed by students and parents as a strength of
the school.
We are known as the 'mamas and papas' of the year levels.
