Performing Arts
Cashmere High School has a well-justified reputation in the performing arts – with stunning annual productions, National champions in Stage Challenge, award-winning entries in bands, singing, Theatre Sports and orchestra.
We have a long history of excellence in arts and music with a succession of talented teachers and an impressive list of graduates that includes Bic Runga (CHS 1989-93) and Zed band members Nathan King, Ben Campbell and Adrian Palmer (CHS 1992-96).
Māori and Pasifika performing arts groups at Cashmere High School add richness to our community. The Ropu o Te Iringa o Kahukura welcomes special visitors and performs at Māori festivals and competitions. Our Pasifika Culture Group represents Cashmere High School at the Christchurch Schools cultural festival each year.
